MARINE PAINTER & BLASTER (local and expat) Join Our Team at German Ship Repair Jamaica! We are expanding our technical team at Jamaica's first ship repair yard with a floating dock facility in Harbour View, Kingston, and are currently recruiting for a Marine Painter & Blaster. Role: Responsible for surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and application of protective coatings on vessels and shipyard structures. Responsibilities: ✓ Prepare steel surfaces using abrasive blasting, power tools, and other approved methods. ✓ Apply marine coatings and paint systems in accordance with technical specifications and manufacturers' recommendations. ✓ Inspect prepared surfaces and completed coating work to ensure quality standards are met. ✓ Maintain blasting and painting equipment and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures. Requirements: ✓ Previous experience in abrasive blasting and industrial or marine painting. ✓ Knowledge of surface preparation methods, coating systems, and safe handling of painting materials. ✓ Ability to work safely in confined spaces and industrial environments. ✓ Shipyard experience is an advantage.
